Best wishes! I’ve had this dean’s list letter for ages. I read it for the first time today, and laughed so hard!
After re-reading all of John’s books this weekend I just feel the need to say “Thank you!” Thank you for everything you’ve written, and everything you’ve said, and everything you’ve recorded. Thank you for helping to create a community where everyone belongs. Thank you for introducing me to great authors, great musicians, and great people.
Thank you for making me cry when I read Looking For Alaska for the 3rd time. I hate crying, but I need to let it out, and it’s the best way I know how. I still wish it ended differently, even though I know if it did, it would not be nearly as good.
Thank you for making me think when I read Paper Towns over and over and over. It’s my favorite (so far) because I understand Margo, and I know she takes the adventures I can only dream of.
Thank you for making me feel good about being a nerd when I read An Abundance of Katherines. I never liked math much… but thank you and Daniel Biss for making me understand that being a nerd doesn’t mean you have to like math.
Thank you (and David Levithan) for making me laugh when I read Will Grayson, Will Grayson again. I have never needed to laugh more than I have now, and for some reason it just does it for me. I guess who I really should be thanking here is Sarah, so thank you Sarah, for making this book get written!
I cannot wait for The Fault in Our Stars. Thank you for reading us the first chapter.
I wish I could express how much you have change my life, but it will just sound cliché, so, thank you.
USA! USA! USA! The team that never dies!! :) So proud of you girls!!
